In Ville Stories, Baldwin uses a more cartoon approach. It’s really a four step process when making this art. Baldwin uses hard lines, color, highlights and shadows in that order.
Style Number 2: The rough-color style
In the Dragonking, Baldwin uses hard lines with softer brushes and shadows. The highlights are placed lightly in places like armor and meteors.
Style Number 3: The Tarbles
Baldwin uses hard lines with solid colors and shadows. No soft brushes used in this design.
Style Numbers 4: Comic Book Style
On the cover of Dr.Vision, Baldwin uses medium tone lines with color and stronger highlights combining realism with a comic style.
Style Number 5: Silvia
This is Baldwin’s attempt at making a realistic person in a cartoon kind of way.
